Program Overview

Are you a student interested in research, and want to take the first step?

Are you a faculty member who could share your project with a student researcher or research team?

The Aresty RA program helps rising sophomores and juniors to learn about the process of research early in their academic careers.  No previous experience is necessary, and there is no minimum GPA; the most important criterion is an interest in research.

Student and Faculty Comments

Comments from our faculty include:

The one (pleasant) problem I have is that Krista and Leonid (David) combined have been getting things done more quickly than I had anticipated so that I've had to find 'the next step' sooner that I thought I would! The scope of this project will be considerably widened through their efforts. ”

I am very pleased that I will finally be able to incorporate [Janine’s work] … into … a project I have long had on the backburner. The Aresty Research program finally makes it possible to move forward!

Students tell us:

"I really feel like I've gotten to know my faculty mentor this year, and I am excited by the progress I see in our research project! This is unlike any other class I've taken!"
