Summer Science Research Program

Program Overview

Do you like science?  Want to explore possibilities beyond med school?  Wondering whether research is the right path (or perhaps you’re not sure what research is)? This program is for you!

The Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates (ARC) Summer Science Research Program gives rising sophomores the opportunity to earn a salary doing challenging work that can lead to a more extensive project, can prepare students for graduate school or the workplace, and can help students to think about career options in the sciences.

The major goal of this program is to help students who have not had any research experience to learn about the process of research early in their academic careers, and encourage them to continue in research activities. There is no minimum GPA required for application (though students must be in good academic standing, having been successful in science courses); the most important criterion is a sincere interest in learning about the process of research in the sciences.
