Aresty Project Highlights NJ Music
As part of Professor Jonathan Sauceda’s research project, “Rockin' Roots, Global Reach: Telling the Story of Jersey's Popular Music,” Mason Gross senior Trey Shore looked through countless sheets of music to study songs from the 19th and 20th centuries composed by New Jerseyans or written about New Jersey.
He also helped to digitize the sheet music in hopes of one day creating an online, searchable database. Trey presented his findings at the Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium this past April.
New Jersey Public Television has now covered their work. Check out the story here.
