Student Research Workshops
Workshops for Symposium Presenters
The Aresty Center offers two workshops for students planning to present at the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. These workshop are required for any presenter who has not presented at the Symposium previously. Current and past RAs and Summer Science students are also not required to attend the workshops.
In advance of submitting an abstract, register for our Abstract and Poster Design workshop for a session on how to write effective abstracts and the elements of successful posters. You will need to bring a draft of your abstract to this workshop. The Practice Presentation workshop is designed to ensure you have the right poster and pitch for the Symposium. You will need to be bring a 8.5 x11 draft of your poster to this workshop. This workshop gives you a chance to share you poster, collect feedback, and practice talking about your research with non-experts.
