A NOTE OF WELCOME FROM THE DIRECTOR
Dear Rutgers Undergraduate Community,
The Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates would like to officially welcome all new and continuing students to Rutgers University-New Brunswick Campus. We hope that you are excited to embark on an academic year, that will be filled with new and challenging learning experiences, making new friends, reconnecting with old friends, and taking advantage of all of the opportunities offered at this outstanding research institution.
As you navigate through the first few weeks of school, we hope that you will find your way to Milledoler Hall on College Avenue and learn more about the research opportunities on campus as well as meet the new staff members of the Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates.
The Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates is a prominent unit of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Division. As the premier research center on campus, we are inclusive of all undergraduate students regardless of their academic discipline, school code, transfer status, or honors affiliations. The Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates’ mission remains dedicated to offering university-wide research opportunities and financial support to undergraduates interested in participating in high impact research experiences.
The Aresty Research Center's goal is to support undergraduate research at Rutgers University in the following areas:
• Foster student curiosity about and participation in the process of research
• Facilitate mentoring relationships between faculty and students
• Expose a broader audience beyond the university to undergraduate research
• Serve as a clearinghouse of undergraduate research opportunities at Rutgers
• Support the incorporation of research experiences in the classroom
Think beyond the books. Learn by doing.
Sincerely,
Tamiah Brevard, Director
