2023 Summer Science & LSAMP SPRE Faculty Project Submissions-Now Open

Aresty student working in the lab with faculty mentor.

We are happy to begin collecting research project proposals for the 2023 Summer Science Program and LSAMP SPRE Program*. You can apply for both programs. However, you will only be considered for one program as we can only support one student per faculty mentor.

These summer research experiences are designed exclusively for rising sophomores new to research. The program connects students with their first research experience and assists you with identifying a student who has the potential to make significant contributions to your research project. The 2023 summer programs will run from May 30th - August 3rd , 2023.

The Aresty Research Center provides Summer Research Assistants with a $3000 stipend and on-campus housing. Due to budgetary restrictions, we can support and house less than 50 students** across both programs.

For more information on designing a project, please click here. You can also create a new project or replicate an existing one

Submissions are due by 11:59pm on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Thanks for your support of this program and the incredibly powerful experience it offers to students.
