Aresty Research Assistant Faculty Proposals Open Image

We are happy to begin collecting research project proposals for the 2022-2023 Research Assistant (RA) Program*. Next year’s academic program will run from September 6, 2022 through April 28, 2023.

The Aresty Research Assistant (RA) Program enables students that are new to research the opportunity to gain their first authentic research experience by supporting faculty research projects during the academic year. RAs gain valuable research skills by working side by side with faculty, while the faculty benefits from a structured program to recruit and train the next generation of researchers. Students selected for the RA program will conduct a minimum of five hours of research per week (additional work can be done by arrangement with the student). Selected students also attend peer group meetings with other undergraduate researchers to practice scholarly communication, explore research ethics, design posters, and discuss research methodology. The program enables students to work on specific projects across a variety of academic disciplines. All RA students are eligible to earn 3 credits for the academic year, P/NC.
