Dr. Tamiah N. Brevard-Rodriguez - Director
Dr. Tamiah N. Brevard-Rodriguez is an alumna of Rutgers-New Brunswick. She earned a B.A. in Communication and minored in Puerto Rican and Caribbean Studies. She received an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Personnel from New York University. Most recently, Mrs. Brevard-Rodriguez served as Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at New York University School of Professional Studies gaining experience with new student recruitment, international research, global education and travel, development, and grant writing. She is devoted to educational access, student success, and providing students with a well-rounded undergraduate experience.

Candice M.Haigler - Assistant Director
Candice M.Haigler received her M.B.A. in Marketing from Fordham University, Gabelli School of Business in New York City and Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. She holds 15+ years of broad-based professional experience within the financial services and higher education industries and her professional expertise includes extensive program management and business strategy development to institutions such as Fordham University, Georgetown University, St. John’s University, and New York University. Ms.Haigler has worked closely with both faculty and administration to develop recruitment strategies and student programming as well as customized executive education programs. Outside of her administrative functions, she also manages the improvement and maintenance of processes and procedures that support the Aresty initiatives and programs from an operations and technology perspective.

Chandni A. Pathak - Senior Program Coordinator
Chandni A. Pathak holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work degree from Rutgers University. She has extensive experience with program development and student services across diverse populations. Her work includes experience in various educational settings, including New Brunswick High School, Douglass Residential College, and Rutgers School of Social Work. Chandni holds a strong commitment and passion in providing students with educational opportunities, advocacy for educational access, and mentorship.

Jenna Costantino - Program Coordinator
Jenna Costantino holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minor in Public Policy from the University of Delaware. Currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration at Rutgers University-Newark, Jenna is passionate about serving the community and empowering students to achieve their full potential. With a strong dedication to public service, Jenna brings a commitment to making a positive impact through her academic pursuits and professional endeavors.

Dr. Eric Gawiser - Faculty Director
Dr. Eric Gawiser is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy in the School of Arts and Sciences. He received an A.B. in Physics and Public Policy from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Gawiser studies galaxies, stars, and black holes and was named a Fellow of the American Physical Society for “exceptional accomplishments and leadership in the study of galaxy evolution and Cosmology.” Dr. Gawiser is also an accomplished teacher and public speaker. He is dedicated to broadening research opportunities for Rutgers undergraduates, especially those who are members of under-represented groups.
